Plain-English Summary

We collect as little as possible. We need your email to send you the store and its docs. We need PayPal transaction metadata for accounting and dispute defense. We use ConvertKit for email and Plausible for privacy-friendly analytics. We do not sell your data. We keep it for two years after your last transaction, then delete it.

1. Who We Are

Shopiflame LLC (Delaware, USA) operates shopiflame.com and the Shopify dev store transfer service. For privacy questions, email hello@shopiflame.com.

2. What We Collect

2.1. Email address. When you buy, contact us, or subscribe to our list, you give us an email address. We use it to deliver the store, send transactional receipts, send marketing emails (only if you opt in), and respond to support requests.

2.2. PayPal transaction metadata. When you pay, PayPal shares transaction metadata with us: PayPal transaction ID, amount, currency, timestamp, and payer email. We do not receive your credit card number, full bank account, or CVV. Card data stays with PayPal.

2.3. Shopify account email for Transfer. To complete the Shopify Partner Transfer, we ask for the email address associated with your Shopify account. We use it only to execute the Transfer.

2.4. Analytics — aggregate page views. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information. Plausible records aggregate data: page views, referrer, country, browser, device type.

2.5. Support email contents. If you email support, we store the email so we can answer and keep a record of the conversation.

3. What We Do Not Collect

  • We do not use tracking cookies by default.
  • We do not use advertising pixels (no Meta, TikTok, or Google Ads pixels).
  • We do not collect your credit card, bank account, or CVV — PayPal handles that.
  • We do not fingerprint your browser or device.

If we add any tracking in the future, we will update this policy and disclose it clearly.

4. Third Parties We Share Data With

We share the minimum data necessary with these service providers:

  • PayPal — payment processing. Receives your payment info directly; we receive only transaction metadata. See PayPal’s privacy notice.
  • ConvertKit — email service provider (ESP). Receives your email and name (if provided) to deliver transactional and opt-in marketing emails.
  • Plausible Analytics — privacy-friendly web analytics. Aggregated data only, no personal identifiers.
  • Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and CDN for shopiflame.com. Sees network-level request data (IP, user-agent) as part of standard web hosting.
  • Shopify Partner — the platform that executes the Dev Store Transfer. Receives the email you provide for Transfer.

We do not sell personal data to anyone. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Cookies

5.1. We do not set tracking cookies on shopiflame.com by default. 5.2. Essential session cookies may be used only for functional purposes (e.g., preserving a form submission). We will disclose any cookies added in the future.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regardless of where you live, and additional rights if you are a resident of the EU, UK, or California:

6.1. Right to access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. 6.2. Right to correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate data. 6.3. Right to delete. Ask us to delete your data. We will delete unless we are legally required to keep it (e.g., transaction records for tax). 6.4. Right to opt out of marketing. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Click it. You stay subscribed to essential transactional emails unless you ask to be removed. 6.5. Right to data portability. Request your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@shopiflame.com. We respond within 30 days.

7. GDPR (European Economic Area, UK)

7.1. Our lawful basis for processing is: (a) contract performance for purchase and delivery; (b) legitimate interest for security, analytics, and fraud prevention; (c) consent for marketing emails. 7.2. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. CCPA / CPRA (California)

8.1. California residents have the rights described in Section 6 plus the right to know what data we’ve collected in the last 12 months and the right to opt out of “sale” of personal data. We do not sell personal data. 8.2. We do not knowingly collect data from California residents under 16 without consent.

9. Data Retention

9.1. Transaction records (PayPal metadata, order records): retained for 2 years after the last transaction, then deleted, except where tax or legal obligations require a longer period. 9.2. Email list records: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, then removed from ConvertKit. 9.3. Support emails: retained for 2 years, then deleted.

10. Security

10.1. We use HTTPS across shopiflame.com. 10.2. We rely on PayPal, ConvertKit, Cloudflare, and Shopify’s security infrastructure for systems we do not host. 10.3. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we experience a breach affecting your data, we will notify you without undue delay and as required by law.

11. International Data Transfers
